Carmen B. Pingree
Pingree Parent Staff Association
The parents and staff of Carmen B. Pingree are committed to
helping find ways to fund their school.
Over the years the staff of the Carmen B. Pingree School (CBP) have gone to
other states to train teachers and professionals on the programs at CBP so other
children with autism have the same opportunity for education and therapy as our
kids do. The staff earned $75,000 doing this over those many years, and donated
the entire amount towards the construction of the school. As a result, the staff
lounge is named in their honor.
The parents also have several fundraisers that have earned thousands towards the
construction of the school and the classroom programs. The parents have an
inventory of T-shirts, sweat shirts, ball caps, tote-bags, and greeting cards
for sale.
During the University of Utah football season the parent spend their time at the
parking lot of the Carmen C. Pingree (located just a few blocks from Rice Eccles
Stadium). They collect a $5 donation from football fans that want a great place
to park and can get a tax-deductible donation at the same time!
You can also purchase a "Pave the Way" brick for yourself or a loved one. There
are over 3000 "Pave the Way" bricks located around the flagpole at the school.
You can visit the school to see those who have supported the school in that
manner. For more details about the "Pave the Way" bricks contact Valley Mental
Health Foundation at (801) 255-9519.
