Funding

The Carmen B. Pingree Center for Children with Autism has multiple base funding.

1. Preschool: Our preschool program is funded publicly through the State Division of Mental Health. This funding provides for evaluation and assessment, as well as day treatment services for child and family. In addition, a satellite classroom in Jordan District is operational through contract to this district.

2. Elementary/Secondary Program: The Elementary/Secondary Program is a private pay organization. Families are assessed fees based on IRS tax information. The fees are augmented by an endowment fund where interest from the endowment is used as a tuition stipend based on the families ability to pay.

Individual fees, insurance, and other third party billing is done to offset mental health services for the child in the center.
